I’m looking for Senior Surveyors with local authority experience who are ready to take on an interesting challenge.
My client needs someone to oversee and shape the future of a varied public-use estate that includes everything from playing fields and golf courses to tracks, cricket clubs, country parks and wider public‑realm spaces.
This is a portfolio with history, complexity and plenty of quirks. Some assets are chunky, some are operationally demanding and some come with missing information that needs unpicking. So I’m looking for someone with a can‑do mindset, who enjoys getting stuck in, solving problems and bringing order to a neglected estate.
You’ll take ownership of the portfolio, dealing with:
- Complicated lettings and historic agreements
- Wayleaves and access issues
- Political and councillor involvement
- Legacy problems that need unravelling
- Regularising tenancies
- Untangling years of incomplete or inaccurate data
Alongside the hands‑on work, there’s a significant strategic element. As the Senior Surveyor, you’ll help shape policy, set direction and create a clear framework for how this public‑use estate should operate and thrive. You’ll work closely with senior property leaders who are fully behind the vision and want someone who can help make it land with members.
There’s real opportunity here and for the right person, this will be a standout project on your CV as you’ll be transforming a complex portfolio and unlocking revenue.
If you’re a confident navigating political environments and excited by the idea of bringing structure and strategy to a challenging estate, I’d love to speak with you.
Send me an email with your CV if you’d like to know more.
