Job Title: Surveyor – Social Housing Planned Works
Location: Surrey (Hybrid Working)
Contract Type: 6-Month Interim
About the Role:
A forward-thinking local authority in Surrey is seeking an experienced Surveyor to support its Property Services team in delivering planned works across a diverse social housing portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and improvement of over 2,600 housing units, primarily low-rise properties, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage planned works programs including fire safety, gas, electrical, and roofing projects
- Conduct on-site inspections and ensure works meet required standards
- Assist in transitioning properties from responsive to planned maintenance
- Contribute to stock condition reporting and asset management
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements:
- Relevant building surveying qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in the social housing sector
- Strong organizational and data management skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid model (2–3 days office/home)
- Willingness to travel for site visits
Working Arrangements:
- Hybrid working: 2–3 days split between home and office
- Weekly team meetings in-office
- Regular site visits across the district
Salary:
- Interim: £300–£350 per day
