As we head into the New Year, the consistent conversations I’m having with clients are centred around councils needing Senior Estates Surveyors to help clear significant backlogs on their commercial and operational portfolios.
This is a crucial period for local authorities, the property teams are being heavily relied upon to save and generate income, often preventing councils from falling into debt.
My clients are regularly looking for Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to tackle a backlog of work on their commercial and operational portfolios.
The main responsibilities in these roles are:
- Providing effective and efficient services to the public, by liaising and giving advice to a variety of stakeholders i.e. Council officers, members, tenants, contractors, solicitors, other agents, and members of the public.
- Negotiating rent reviews and lease renewals as instructed.
- Carrying out all aspects of estate and property management.
As an interim you are expected to work at pace and bring a positive attitude, some councils are also open to hiring someone with no local authority experience.
You will need to be MRICS or have experience specifically in General Practice surveying.
If your skill set aligns with the areas listed above, please send your CV to Dana and I, as the need for this type of person will ramp up in the New Year.
