Head of Public Sector Partnerships

With almost £5billion of assets under ownership, their ambition is to double AUM to £10billion over the next 5–10 years.

With such ambitious plans, they are now looking to hire a ‘Head of Public Sector Partnerships’ to develop and maintain relationships with senior local authority figures across the UK, with the primary aim being to acquire Retail assets that councils may be looking to dispose of.

With £350million to deploy in the next 12 months, a keen eye for detail and a creative approach will be central to this role. My client is highly acquisitive, so this an exciting opportunity for a deal doer and strong negotiator to execute in a challenging and evolving commercial environment. The real estate market is in a state of transformation, so this individual will need to work innovatively to reflect that.

Key to this role will be someone who has experience dealing with local authorities at a senior level, who can influence key decision makers and build lasting mutually beneficial relationships.

As you’d expect, the role will involve UK-wide travel so my client is open to someone being either based in London or Birmingham.

Key Requirements:

• Town Centre Retail/Shopping centre experience in the UK (preferably regional).
• Significant network of contacts within the public sector.
• Deal-doer and strong negotiator.
• Market leading Retail sector knowledge.
• Ability to give Strategic advice on investment or disposal plans.
