Senior Quantity Surveyor

With a portfolio spanning across Commercial Offices, the living sector including Hotels, PBSA & Later Living, plus some Life Sciences and Industrial schemes. Although a smaller business, their appreciation for good design and collaborative approach means they are very well connected in the architectural community.

Currently at a head count of 20, the directors are looking to continue with their organic growth and add a Senior QS to the team.

If you are looking for the chance to climb the ladder, then you will have ample opportunity with the platform they have created. With the directors having enjoyed spells and some of the larger reputable organisations, they have engineered a consultancy that has tried and tested support structures and processes in place, but you would feel far from a corporate environment. Giving autonomy and exposure to their staff is important.

They work with the likes of Legal & General, Royal London and Bedford Estates – most of their work is repeat business and the fact that they are fending off their larger competitors is an incredible achievement and all down to the level of service they give to their clients.

If you are already chartered then great, if not you will be supported every step of the way with regular CPDS, and a councillor and advisor allocated to you from day one. In the three months lead up to your assessment you will sit a weekly mocks with one of the MRICS team ensuring you will be ready for the big day.

You will be joining a business that values you, when it comes to appraisals and promotions the directors like to be ahead of the game. You will be well looked after and won’t feel the need to push for a pay rise year in year out.

With all the above being important, one of the best parts of the business is their culture. Everyone usually grabs a drink together on a Thursday evening but there is a quarterly away day, think clay pigeon shooting, the races... They also organise a 5 a side football charity event each year and they are planning a company over night stay in Barcelona towards the end of the summer.
