Compliance Manager
- You will be working as an Interim Compliance Manager for a RP in Essex.
- £475–£525 per day (Inside IR35).
- 6–Month Contract.
- Temporary, Full-time.
- On-site 1–2 days per week.
Compliance Manager Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and lead in the operational management of compliance control, information maintenance and monitoring with regard to the servicing, inspection and follow up regimes of remedial works across all statutory and non-statutory compliance work- streams within remit, liaising with the Performance team to ensure up to date adherence is understood at all times.
- Ensure that all relevant compliance service, testing and inspection processes within remit are carried out correctly, remedial/follow on works are undertaken on a risk basis; that the service, testing and inspection process remains current and fit for purpose, and all records and certification are appropriately recorded. Keep up to date with changing legislation, standards and technology. Assist in the updating of specifications and documents.
- Work effectively and collaboratively across all external stakeholders to ensure statutory and non-statutory obligations, planned works contract delivery and associated consequential remedial works, inclusive of building and engineering disciplines, are being met and ensure safe running of associated asset related life safety systems and equipment.
- Manage the M&E Engineer and maintain working relationships with the senior management team and operational delivery teams to promote confidence in the agreed assurance mechanisms and raise the level of awareness and understanding of statutory compliance homes.
- Contract manage and monitor the performance of the contractors ensuring the compliance requirements for planned works are understood and met, with suitable key performance indicators that drive compliance performance, resident satisfaction and value for money.
- Implement and operate robust processes and procedures in order to ensure the legal obligations in regard to property compliance are managed and met; and to ensure all identified risks are mitigated in the most efficient manner, making best use of available resources to keep all residents safe.
Compliance Manager Applicant Essentials
- Significant, proven experience with/in Housing Associations and have significant, proven M&E services experience.
- Have experience in post inspection, fault finding, resolving issues/ problems and carrying out accurate inspections of M&E work in residential properties, blocks and communal areas.
- Experience of contract management for maintenance and installation of systems.
- Experience of working within housing, local government, or construction sector
- Have experience in supervision of staff.
- Procuring third party support and maintenance contracts using corporate process
- Reviewing and maintaining budgets in line with the compliance framework and roadmap on an annual basis.
