Are you a Hertfordshire based Damp Specialist?

Repairs Surveyor

  • You will be working as an Interim Repairs for a RP in Hertfordshire.
  • You will be providing a prompt inspection, diagnosis and repair service for residents.
  • You will be assist the Repairs Manager in dealing with complex cases and any disrepair claims.
  • You will take the primary role in day to liaison with DLO and contractors, ensuring repair work is completed on target and contractors’ payments checked and processed promptly. 
  • £300+ per day (Inside IR35, CIS).
  • 6+ Month Contract.
  • Interim, Full-time.

Repairs Surveyor Responsibilities

  • Have a sound knowledge of the property stock.
  • To inspect properties, diagnose faults and arrange repairs in accordance with deadlines.
  • To prepare specifications for works based on sound technical knowledge, statutory requirements and residents’ aspirations.
  • To support Resident Services staff in dealing with resident enquiries and diagnosis of repair.
  • To be responsible for the responsive maintenance budget.
  • To be accountable for quality control of all responsive works.
  • Be accountable for contract payments, ensuring these are administered and programmed by the Major Works and Voids Administrator.
  • To provide performance information for corporate management reports.
  • To attend management meetings and Committee’s when required.

Repairs Surveyor Applicant Essentials

  • Experience diagnosing damp and mould issues
  • An understanding of housing construction and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to specify works and procure contracts.
  • Able to adapt to use any I.T. package/technology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management.
  • Ability to act on initiative and without supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • A strong ability to foster sound internal and external relations.
  • Personable and flexible approach.
  • The ability to physically survey properties including roof spaces.
  • Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
