Job Title: Resident Engagement and Community Development Co-ordinator
Location: London (Hybrid working available)
Hourly rate: £22.00 - £25.00ph
Contract Type: Full-time, 3 months initially - with an opportunity to become Permanent
About the Role
This is a pivotal role focused on enhancing resident involvement and delivering impactful community development initiatives. You’ll work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and residents to shape inclusive services and improve life chances for individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of resident engagement and community development strategies
- Facilitate consultation, communication, and partnership-building to strengthen social cohesion
- Organise and deliver community events, focus groups, and training sessions
- Support resident groups to identify priorities and access resources
- Generate content for newsletters, websites, and award submissions
- Identify funding opportunities and contribute to successful applications
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of engagement activities and ensure regulatory compliance
About You
You’ll be a confident communicator and natural collaborator, with a deep understanding of community engagement and housing-related support. You’ll bring creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking to everything you do.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of housing regulations and resident involvement frameworks
- Proven experience in community development, partnership working, and project delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Skilled in using data to inform service improvements
- Proficient in IT and CRM system
