Upcoming Kent Environmental Protection Contract!
A council based in Kent are looking for an Environmental Health Officer specialising in Environmental Protection to help with the summers workload.
What's in it for you?
- £40-£45p/h
- Hybrid Working with office/site attendance needed
- 37 hours per week (open to part time hours)
- 6 month contract (possible extension)
- September start date
The Role
- Contribute towards the work of the section to protect and enhance public health and the environment, as required by statute and the policies of Central Government and the Council.
- Investigate statutory nuisance & environmental complaints
- Pollution Control - Air, Noise, Water, etc.
- Authorised Processes
- Contaminated Land
- Environmental Monitoring
- Pest Control
- Drainage investigation
- Liaising with enforcement team around graffiti, fly tipping, littering, FPNS ect.
Required
- HNC/HND (2 year course) or equivalent, or experience in similar work related role, plus specific qualifications for some duties e.g. Institute of Acoustics Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control
- Experience of M3 and Civica software.
