Deputy Head of Property

I’m working exclusively with a South Coast local authority in a strong financial position, looking for a Deputy to a very credible Head of Property. 

This is a forward-thinking team with a collaborative culture, creative approach and varied commercial and operational portfolio. 

You’ll lead a talented team of Asset Managers, working closely with the Head of Property, Chief Executive and Council Leaders, delivering on key corporate strategic projects and objectives.  

Responsibilities include: 

• Leading, mentoring and supporting the Asset Management team.
• Contributing to and delivering the Asset Management Strategy.
• Overseeing the management of the commercial and operational portfolio, which will include rent reviews, lease renewals, lettings, licences and wayleaves.
• Providing technical advice on acquisitions and disposals.
• Undertaking financial appraisals and budget management.
• Presenting and reporting to the senior leaders of the council. 

I’m looking for someone who can offer a variety of solutions to council leaders, balancing community needs with strategic goals. 

To be successful, you’ll need to provide me with clear examples of your Estate & Asset Management experience, covering all landlord and tenant matters, as well as providing expert advice on acquisitions and disposals. 

Experience presenting to senior leaders and leading a team would be ideal, but if you’re eager to develop in these areas, it’s still worth putting yourself forward.
