Oyster have partnered with a rapidly growing Real Estate Investor & Developer who specialise specialising in the acquisition, development, and management of, primarily, Living sector and mixed-use assets across the UK.
They are now looking to hire an experienced Investment Analyst to join the team to support the origination, execution, and monitoring of investments, providing critical analysis to drive informed decision-making across the portfolio. The successful candidate will gain exposure to the full real estate investment lifecycle and work closely with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Modelling
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for acquisitions, developments, and portfolio monitoring.
- Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate risk-adjusted returns.
Market Research & Intelligence
- Undertake sector and market research to identify investment opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and economic drivers influencing performance.
Transaction Support
- Assist with underwriting and due diligence on new investment opportunities.
- Prepare investment memoranda and recommendations for presentation to the Investment Committee.
- Support negotiations by providing analytical insights.
Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and analyse the performance of existing investments, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Contribute to regular investor reporting, management updates, and portfolio reviews.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams across asset management, development, finance, and legal.
- Liaise with brokers, advisors, and joint venture partners to support deal execution.
Candidate Profile
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field (professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, or equivalent are advantageous).
- 3+ years’ experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, private equity, or real estate.
- Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Excel (knowledge of Argus or similar tools is beneficial).
- Excellent analytical, research, and presentation abilities.
- Living sector experience (BTR, PBSA or hotels).
- Strong commercial awareness and a keen interest in real estate investment and capital markets.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
