We are looking for a detail-oriented Validations Officer to join our Planning Services team.
This is a crucial role that ensures that all planning applications and associated documentation meet regulatory standards before they are progressed through our system.
You’ll be the first point of quality control, liaising with applicants, agents, and internal departments to confirm applications are complete, accurate, and ready for formal registration.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and validate incoming planning applications (e.g. householder, full, outline, discharge of condition).
- Check submitted plans, forms, and statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Communicate with applicants and agents to request missing information or clarify submissions.
- Maintain and update application records using planning software systems.
- Provide advice and guidance on validation requirements to internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Support process improvements to streamline validation and registration workflows.
