Interim Majors Planning Consultant

A Midlands-based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Planning Consultant with a proven track record of handling major and complex planning applications. This is an initial 6 months contract, ideal for someone ready to hit the ground running in the coming weeks.

While remote working is supported, the successful candidate must be able to attend on-site meetings when required. 

Experience:

• Proven background in Development Management, including handling major and complex planning applications,
• Support the delivery of strategic applications across the borough.
• Manage discharge of conditions on major schemes (up to 80–100 conditions)
• Experience of working for a London Borough.
• Familiar with Major Planning aps and cross- departmental coordination.
• Comfortable chasing consultations and managing complex planning documentation.

Working arrangements:

• This role is flexible on remote work although, they will need someone to come into office when needed for essential meetings.
• As mentioned this role will be on the £40-£45+ rate.
