Planning Policy Team Leader

A London-based Local Authority is seeking an Interim Planning Policy Team Leader for an initial three-month contract. The successful candidate will support the senior manager for planning policy and be expected to assist with the mentoring of more junior staff members, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to manage workloads efficiently and effectively.

Experience:

• Proven experience in Planning Policy at a senior level.
• Strong track record of successfully leading and managing planning teams.
• Experience of working in the London space and being involved with the Local Plan.
• Ability to drive performance and lead with confidence, clarity, and efficiency.
• Existing knowledge of working in a Local Authority.

Working arrangements:

• This role is flexible on remote work although, they will need someone to come into office when needed for essential meetings.
• The hourly rate will be around the £55-£65 per hour mark.
• Initial 3 month contract with likelihood of an extension.
