We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Licensing Enforcement Officer to join our Clients team on an interim basis. Working within a dynamic and supportive London borough, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the council's licensing objectives are upheld, promoting public safety and compliance across a range of licensed activities.

Your main responsibilities:
- Carry out licensing inspections and investigations across premises such as pubs, clubs, restaurants, street traders, and special events.
- Enforce compliance with relevant licensing legislation, including the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and Street Trading.
- Respond to and investigate complaints, service requests, and alleged breaches of licence conditions.
- Work closely with internal departments, the police, and external partners to support joint enforcement operations.
- Prepare legal documentation and represent the council at hearings and in court when necessary.
You must have previous experience of the Licensing Act 2003 and key knowledge in street trading and Enforcement as the main bulk of this area is Enforcement work.
