Lead a Vibrant Community of 300+ Homes As GM
Imagine a building where over 300 households live work and relax under one roof. The lobby buzzes with conversation the team knows residents by name and the atmosphere feels like a close-knit community not just an address. This is the environment you will lead.
As General Manager you will be the heartbeat of the building ensuring every detail from the sparkle of reception to the accuracy of compliance is just right. You will lead a dedicated onsite team nurturing their skills and confidence so they can deliver service that makes residents feel truly valued.
Your days will be varied. One moment you are working with senior leadership on leasing strategies the next meeting contractors to review maintenance or resolving a resident’s query with care and efficiency. You will manage budgets control costs and ensure financial performance stays on track.
Above all you will be the person who brings it all together the operations the people the atmosphere shaping a living experience that hundreds of residents are proud to call home.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing on-site team including recruitment, training, appraisals and ongoing mentoring
- Foster an inclusive and supportive culture that promotes professional growth and outstanding resident service
- Work with senior leadership to shape leasing strategy, monitor performance and support market appraisals
- Take full financial responsibility for the building including budgets, purchasing, invoicing, cost control and debt management
- Oversee all facilities operations including planned and reactive maintenance, compliance, inspections and risk management
- Act as the main point of contact for residents handling complex queries, organising events and enhancing the community through creative engagement initiatives
Your Requirements:
- Proven experience managing BTR or large-scale residential buildings ideally 200+ units
- Track record of leading and motivating on-site teams to deliver exceptional customer service
- Strong financial management skills including budgeting and cost control
- Solid understanding of compliance, health and safety requirements and building operations
- Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using IT systems and social media to engage residents and streamline operations
