EOI: Public Transport - Rail, Bus Infrastructure

I’m currently working with a number of Local Authorities, Combined Authorities, and consultancies who are actively delivering bus and rail improvements across the UK, and I wanted to reach out given your experience in the sector.

With continued focus on BSIP delivery, Enhanced Partnerships, franchising models, and rail integration, there’s strong demand for professionals who can support both strategy and operational delivery across public transport.

I’m currently supporting roles, including:

• BSIP Programme / Project Managers – leading delivery of funded bus service improvements and network enhancements
• Bus Strategy & Partnership Leads – managing Enhanced Partnerships, operator engagement, and long-term network planning
• Public Transport Managers (Bus & Rail) – overseeing multi-modal transport services and performance
• Rail Strategy / Rail Programme Leads – supporting station improvements, service enhancements, and rail integration strategies
• Transport Strategy Consultants (Public Transport focus) – advising on policy, decarbonisation, and modal shift
• Contracts & Commercial Managers (Bus / Rail) – managing operator contracts, procurement, and performance frameworks
• Franchising / Bus Reform Specialists – supporting business case development and transition to franchised networks
• Sustainable Transport / Modal Shift Leads – driving increased public transport usage and accessibility

Typical work includes:

• BSIP funding implementation and monitoring
• Enhanced Partnership governance and delivery
• Bus network redesign and service optimisation
• Rail station and corridor improvements
• Multi-modal integration (bus, rail, active travel)
• Decarbonisation and patronage growth initiatives
