Expertise in Delivering Major [Capital] Highway Infrastructure?
I’m currently supporting a number of Local Authorities, Combined Authorities, and delivery partners working on major, complex highway infrastructure programmes.
Local Authorities' requests have recently come out seeking specialist Project/Programme Managers on a contractual basis to oversee Highway (Complex) Infrastructure Schemes through Planning, detailed Design and Construction.
Roles include:
- Infrastructure Programme Managers / Senior Responsible Officers – leading large-scale corridor and highway improvement programmes end-to-end
- Major Projects / Highway Delivery Leads – overseeing design, procurement, and construction across flagship schemes
- Project Directors & Senior Project Managers (Transport Infrastructure) – managing multi-disciplinary teams and high-value programmes
- Design Managers (Major Infrastructure) – coordinating complex engineering design across consultants and delivery partners
- Client-side Delivery Managers – acting as intelligent clients across politically sensitive, publicly funded schemes
- Commercial & Contracts Managers (NEC-focused) – managing commercial risk, contractor performance, and programme controls
- Stakeholder & Programme Interface Leads – navigating DfT, National Highways, local stakeholders, and funding bodies
These roles are centred around:
- Strategic corridor upgrades and congestion relief schemes
- Major junction improvements and new link roads
- Housing and growth-enabling infrastructure
- Levelling Up / DfT-funded transport programmes
- Schemes with significant public, political, and stakeholder scrutiny
- Complex phasing, land, and planning considerations
Expertise in delivering under NEC3/4 ECC Options, A, B or C is greatly appreciated. As well as having expertise in managing Tier 1 Contractors.
If any of these positions above are of interest, I'd welcome a CV and am happy to add you to my records and have an initial chat. Following this, my clients propose potential requirements for the above country-wide.
