I am looking for a Revenue Accountant for 6 months. The perfect candidate would have extensive closedown experience in corporate revenue, with the ability to prepare key financial statements.
Key responsibilities:
- Working on accounts close down from the revenue side.
- Preparing key financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow).
- Assisting with quarterly budget monitoring (including outturn reporting).
- Advising on collection fund matters.
- Indirect management of small team—one direct reportee and one indirect reportee.
- Keeping the wider team on track with deadlines and timetables.
- Offering advice and guidance to colleagues as needed.
- Shadowing current post-holder before taking over responsibilities fully.
Essential skills:
- Strong experience in revenue accounting within local government or similar public sector context.
- Good knowledge of collection fund processes.
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements such as balance sheet, P&L, cash flow statements.
- Experience with quarterly budget monitoring/outturn reporting.
- Strong Excel and Word skills.
