We are working on behalf of a specialist real estate advisory and asset management business that partners with institutional investors, family offices and private capital to maximise performance across living sector investments.
With a growing client base and increasing instructions across the BTR, PBSA and wider residential sectors, they are seeking to appoint a Senior Operational Asset Management Consultant to play a pivotal role in delivering strategic advice and asset performance improvement programmes.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced operational asset management professional to join an entrepreneurial and highly respected platform, combining hands on advisory work with strategic client engagement across a diverse portfolio of assets.
The Role
This position sits at the intersection of operational asset management and consultancy. The successful candidate will work directly with investors, operators and asset owners, providing expert advice on operational performance, business planning and value creation opportunities.
You will be trusted as a market expert, helping clients improve asset performance, challenge existing operating models, undertake operational reviews and support major asset strategies.
The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and presents a genuine opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities as the business continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational asset management and consultancy assignments across BTR, PRS and PBSA assets.
- Advise investors and asset owners on operational strategy, asset performance and value enhancement initiatives.
- Conduct operational audits and performance reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse portfolio performance and prepare market-leading strategic recommendations.
- Undertake market research, benchmarking and competitor analysis across the living sectors.
- Develop business plans and operational improvement programmes for existing and newly acquired assets.
- Lead workshops with clients, operators and stakeholders to drive performance improvements.
- Manage operator procurement processes, including running tenders and reviewing operating partner appointments.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to investors and asset owners.
- Produce market reports, asset reviews and investment recommendations.
- Support the growth of the consultancy practice through business development and thought leadership initiatives.
- Contribute towards internal team leadership, mentoring and the development of junior colleagues.
This role would particularly suit an operationally focused BTR or PBSA professional looking to move into a more strategic, advisory-led environment while remaining closely connected to asset performance and investor outcomes.
