Location: Midlands (3 days in the office, 2 WFH)

Are you an experienced Disrepair Surveyor looking for your next opportunity within the public sector?

I am working with a Midlands-based Local Authority seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Disrepair Surveyor to join their Property Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing housing disrepair cases and improving housing standards for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing housing disrepair claims from inception through to resolution.
    • Carrying out property inspections and preparing detailed schedules of work.
    • Producing technical reports for legal proceedings and court cases.
    • Working closely with legal teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
    • Monitoring remedial works to ensure compliance and quality standards.
    • Ensuring properties meet statutory and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

    • Previous experience handling housing disrepair cases.
    • Strong knowledge of housing legislation and repairs obligations.
    • Experience working within Local Authority or Social Housing environments.
    • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
    • Relevant surveying qualification desirable.
