We are seeking an organised, proactive, and customer‑focused Repairs Coordinator to support the delivery of an efficient and responsive repairs service. This role plays a key part in ensuring residents receive timely updates, repairs are scheduled effectively, and contractors and internal teams are fully aligned. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a high‑volume workload in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Repairs Scheduling & Coordination

  • Schedule and allocate repairs to contractors or in‑house operatives.
  • Manage diaries, appointments, and follow‑up actions to ensure repairs are completed within target timescales.
  • Monitor progress of repairs and chase outstanding works where required.

Resident & Customer Communication

  • Act as the first point of contact for residents regarding repairs, updates, and queries.
  • Provide clear, timely communication on appointment times, access requirements, and repair outcomes.
  • Log all enquiries accurately and ensure systems are updated in real time.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, appointments, and contractor activity.
  • Process work orders, variations, and updates on housing management systems.
  • Support the team with reporting, data entry, and general administrative tasks.

Contractor & Internal Liaison

  • Liaise with contractors, operatives, surveyors, and housing officers to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Chase outstanding certificates, job completions, and updates.
  • Escalate issues where repairs fall outside agreed service levels

Skills & Experience Required

  • Essential: Previous experience working within a council or housing association repairs service.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage a high‑volume workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Confident using housing management or repairs systems (e.g., Northgate, Civica, DRS, Orchard, Dynamics).
  • Calm, professional approach when dealing with residents and contractors.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

If you are interested in this opportunity and meet the essential criteria, please get in touch — we’d be happy to discuss the role further and guide you through the next steps.
