Environmental Health Officer | Housing Enforcement | Fire Safety Programme

🔹 Hybrid Working with Flexible Routine 

🔹 Full-Time – 37 Hours per Week 

🔹 £40–£45 per Hour (Umbrella) 

🔹 Initial 6–9 Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

 

Join a dynamic and supportive team within a large local authority, contributing to a high-impact fire safety programme. This is a great opportunity for professionals with housing enforcement experience—fire safety experience is beneficial but not essential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of a fire safety initiative.

Conduct property licensing inspections and reactive enforcement.

Represent the council at tribunals and formal proceedings.

Work closely with stakeholders to ensure housing standards compliance.

 

Requirements:

  • Valid HHSRS Certificate (essential).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a local authority housing enforcement role.
  • Environmental Health Degree
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation and enforcement protocols.
