I am looking for a Applications Administrator with experience within Licensing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage applications for a range of licences including taxi/private hire, alcohol, gambling, scrap metal, and house-to-house collections.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately completed, recorded, and stored in line with data protection and council procedures.
- Use the Civica system to input, track, and update licensing records and application statuses.
- Liaise with applicants, licensees, and internal departments to provide guidance and resolve queries.
- Support the licensing team with general administrative duties including scanning, photocopying, filing, and responding to emails.
- Monitor and manage incoming correspondence via shared inboxes and telephone systems.
- Assist with exam bookings and invigilation for taxi licensing applicants.
- Maintain accurate spreadsheets and databases to support reporting and compliance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or public sector environment, ideally in a licensing or administrative role.
- Familiarity with Civica or similar licensing/CRM systems is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
