Environmental Health Officer/Environmental Protection Officer

We're seeking an experienced Environmental Protection Contractor for a minimum of 4 months, at a local authority based in South West England. You'll work closely with a small but busy team, covering statutory nuisances, pest control and stray dogs.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience working in Environmental Protection at a local authority, with a strong knowledge base and the ability to hit the ground running.

A full driving license and personal transport are required, with flexibility for remote work and responsive site visits. Normal working hours are 37 hours per week, with flexibility and occasional pre-planned work outside normal hours. Although the role will be predominantly district based, there will also be the potential to work from home outside of your investigations. The role will require you to work reactively, so someone based in the local area is preferable.
