Environmental Enforcement Officer

A council in Norfolk are looking for an experienced Environmental Enforcement Officer to assist with the patrolling and investigating of the high streets of the local area.

The Role

• £20-25p/h
• 6 - month contract with chance of extension
• 37 hour working week
• This council take a flexible hybrid working approach

General responsibilities include:

• Investigating littering, fly-tipping and environmental crime in your patch.
• Foot patrols of on and off-street areas, inspecting public areas, identifying contraventions
• Interact well with the Borough’s residents and businesses to understand their needs and provide support.
• Experienced in issuing a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN),where warranted
• Produce high quality prosecution statements, case files and educational material to support Council action to tackle offending behaviour.
