A council based in Sussex are seeking a Tenancy Relations Officer to join their dynamic housing services team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing support to both tenants and landlords, ensuring compliance with housing legislation, and upholding tenant rights in line with the Protection from Eviction Act 1977 and the Renter Rights Act 2025.
As a Tenancy Relations Officer, they will act as a point of contact for both tenants and landlords, advising on legal issues and facilitating conflict resolution, ensuring that all parties are fully informed of their rights and responsibilities. This role requires individuals who are PACE-trained (Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984) and have a solid understanding of the legal frameworks governing housing and tenancy rights.
Due to the investigative and enforcement responsibilities this may suit someone with Private Sector Housing or Fraud experience also.
- 3 month initial contract
- Start date ASAP
- 35 hour per week
- Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office
- Rate £32-35 per hour Umbrella
- DBS checked
- Experience of Home Connections desirable
- Access to own transport desirable as some travel in the district maybe required (mileage can be claimed).
