Are you an experienced housing professional with a passion for leasehold and service charge management? Our client based in Surrey is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Leasehold & Service Charge Manager to lead on the calculation, administration, and consultation of service charges and major works for tenants and leaseholders.
This role is offered on a 6-month temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent, providing a great opportunity to make an immediate impact while building a long-term career.
In this pivotal role, you’ll:
- Lead on billing and statutory consultation for major works and service charges.
- Ensure compliance with Section 20 and Section 20B of the Landlord and Tenant Act.
- Develop and implement policies to improve service delivery and maximise income.
- Provide expert advice on leasehold matters, including Right to Buy and shared ownership.
- Represent the organisation in First Tier Tribunals and liaise with legal professionals and stakeholders.
What they’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in leasehold/property management within local government or housing associations.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation, particularly around service charges, major works, and leasehold consultation.
- Proven ability to manage complex billing processes and statutory notices with accuracy and timeliness.
- Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures that align with current legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and legal information to a range of audiences.
