Financial Controller

I am working exclusively with a UK real estate fund and investor, renowned for its diverse portfolio and strategic investment approach.

Following a series of high-profile acquisitions and continued expansion, they are seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to join their dynamic and fast-paced finance team.

This is an exciting time to join a business entering a period of accelerated growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operations of a highly respected investment group with a strong track record in delivering value across commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts
• Monitor and optimise cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors
• Develop and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and reporting systems
• Provide high-quality financial analysis to support investment decisions and asset performance
• Partner with senior leadership to deliver growth initiatives and support fundraising activities
• Implement scalable financial processes and systems in line with international best practices

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• 5-6 years post-qualification experience, ideally within real estate investment, private equity, or a fund environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial acumen
• Proven ability to operate in a high-performance, entrepreneurial setting
• Exceptional attention to detail and confidence in presenting financial insight to senior stakeholders
• International experience or multi-jurisdictional exposure is advantageous
