Finance and Operations Manager

I am pleased to be bringing an excellent new opportunity to the market within a rapidly expanding, PE backed renewable energy developer.

The organisation is continuing to scale its portfolio across solar, wind and battery storage, and this role will play an important part in supporting that growth.

I am recruiting a Finance and Operations Manager, a position that combines structured financial management with broader operational responsibility. 

It is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to both the commercial and organisational foundations of a high growth business in the renewable energy sector.

The successful candidate will be involved in financial oversight, operational coordination, governance and project support, with direct exposure to the delivery of significant energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Management

• The Finance and Operations Manager will oversee the financial activities of several renewable project entities
• Responsibilities include daily accounting and VAT activity
• Management of multi entity bookkeeping
• Support with valuations across project companies
• Assistance with financial forecasts that inform strategic decision making

Business Operations and People Support

• The role includes the coordination of internal operations
• Support across HR processes and related administrative activity
• Oversight of onboarding for new employees
• Management of document handling and record maintenance
• Responsibility for ensuring that the office environment remains organised and efficient
• Contribution to the professional standard and continuity of daily business functions

Project Support for Renewable Development

• The manager will work closely with the development team to support the progression of renewable projects
• Tracking of project budgets and financial progress
• Monitoring of key project milestones to ensure timely delivery
• Preparation of documentation and materials for review processes
• Support with tender related activity and coordination of required information
• Contribution to the smooth and efficient advancement of project delivery

Governance and Compliance

• The role includes maintaining strong governance practices
• Support for document control across all relevant business areas
• Conducting compliance checks to ensure adherence to internal and external requirements
• Assistance with legal and administrative processes
• Protection of the integrity of corporate structures across multiple entities

You will bring:

• Experience in finance, accounting or multi entity bookkeeping
• High level of organisation and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage both financial and operational responsibilities with confidence
• Interest in renewable energy and broader commercial development
• Strong communication skills and a professional, composed manner
• Commitment to continuous improvement and high quality work standards
