I'm working with a progressive local authority to recruit a Health and Safety Officer to join their dedicated Building Safety team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in housing compliance and a passion for resident safety.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring compliance across key safety areas fire, gas, electrical, legionella, lifts, and asbestos while supporting internal teams and mentoring junior staff. You’ll also liaise with contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure high standards of safety and service delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in building safety and compliance (public sector or housing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of current legislation and landlord responsibilities
- NEBOSH or equivalent (desirable)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
