Founded the company and am now Chair of the business. I am responsible for leading the board, providing oversight and strategic guidance ensuring the highest achievable effectiveness in areas of strategy, growth, governance and both stakeholder & external business relationships. 

From founding Oyster partnership in 2004, I grew the business entirely organically, from a total start-up, to one of the leading, privately-owned recruitment companies in the UK. No external investment. This was achieved though the key philosophy of building the organisation strategically around the people who work within it. All of our incredible management team, including our CEO, Sasza Bandiera, who now leads the business (also now a partner and shareholder, as are many of our senior people) have risen up through this methodology. This ethos has created an exciting, unparalleled core environment, which powers our growth and a business which operates successfully at the highest level and with huge pride in every aspect of its endeavours.

Covering contract and permanent roles within both private and public sectors through award-winning specialist teams, today we deal with hundreds of clients, ranging from private consultancies to public sector bodies. Our focus on quickly delivering clients the best people for their business requires a progressive approach; one with business intelligence, integrity and clear communication at the centre.

I completed the handover of the operational running of Oyster to Sasza Bandiera in 2023, making him CEO, with myself becoming Chair of the business.
