Resident Liaison Officer – Overview
- An established social housing provider is seeking two Interim Resident Liaison Officers to support a busy housing improvement programme. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with housing, customer service, tenancy, community engagement or administration experience who enjoy working directly with residents and building positive relationships within local communities.
- The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting residents before, during and after improvement works, ensuring clear communication, excellent customer service and high levels of resident satisfaction.
Resident Liaison Officer – Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents throughout housing improvement and maintenance programmes
- Carry out resident visits, door knocking and community engagement activities across occupied homes
- Provide timely updates regarding upcoming works, access requirements and programme schedules
- Build positive relationships with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Respond to resident enquiries, concerns and complaints in a professional and proactive manner
- Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and engagement activities
- Support access arrangements to help ensure works are completed efficiently
- Monitor resident satisfaction and provide feedback to project teams
- Assist with administrative duties, correspondence and appointment coordination
- Travel regularly across housing estates and communities within the operational area
Resident Liaison Officer – Applicant Essentials
Essential
- Experience within housing, customer service, resident engagement, tenancy services, administration or a similar customer-facing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence engaging with residents both face-to-face and over the telephone
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel regularly across multiple locations
Desirable
- Previous Resident Liaison Officer experience
- Experience working within social housing or property services
- Knowledge of planned maintenance, capital works or housing improvement programmes
- Experience handling resident queries, complaints or access arrangements
