Management Accountant

Having partnered exclusively with a leading PBSA operator and developer I am excited to be working on finding a Management Accountant whose focus will be to manage their emerging residential portfolio.

With an exciting pipeline of residential developments underway, they are looking to expand their internal finance function by recruiting a talented Management Accountant.

This role is critical in providing accurate financial insights to help guide the success of their projects and overall business strategy, meaning previous Real Estate experience is necessary.

As Management Accountant, you will be a key finance partner to the development, construction, and operational teams. You will oversee project financials, track performance, and ensure that budgets are met and risks are proactively managed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts with detailed project-by-project analysis
• Lead budget setting, reforecasting, and cash flow management across multiple developments
• Monitor project costs, contract valuations, and work-in-progress reports
• Prepare development appraisals and assist in financial modelling for new acquisitions
• Collaborate closely with project managers, development directors, and the commercial team
• Provide insightful reporting to support investment decisions and board reporting
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with internal and external standards
• Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
• Continuously improve financial processes, reporting systems, and controls

What you will bring:

• Qualified or Part Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Prior experience in a real estate development, construction, or property investment environment
• Strong understanding of development financing, cash flow forecasting, and cost management
• Commercially savvy with the ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
• Strong communication skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
