In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial management of a portfolio exceeding 10,000 beds across key university locations.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of financial governance, shape the company’s financial direction, and play a critical role in driving performance across all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and planning, to deliver accurate and timely insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Strengthen internal controls, financial reporting frameworks, and management information systems to safeguard assets and support business integrity.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and regular performance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Manage banking relationships and ensure optimal cash flow to meet the Group’s operational and strategic needs.
  • Design and implement initiatives to enhance finance systems and processes, unlocking value and improving efficiency across the business.
  • Drive the financial planning cycle, including budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
  • Provide commercial analysis and strategic insight to support investment decisions and business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.
  • Champion operational efficiency and contribute to the success of investment programmes and capital deployment.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
