Our Development & Regeneration Specialist Dino has worked at Oyster Partnership for over three years. He brings an extensive breadth of knowledge in this sector, placing professionals into roles where they’re increasing the supply of housing and creating communities that people are proud of.

- Making an impact:
You will be involved in increasing the supply of housing, as well as improving socio-economic factors within communities; this will involve developing/regenerating homes and communities to meet government objectives; ‘Our homes are more than just a roof over our heads, they are our safety net and springboard to a better life.’ The Secretary of State. The increase in the supply of housing acts as a catalyst for the wider community, i.e. schools, retail, offices etc. which ultimately leads to improving the investment and economy in that area.
It really is an exciting and ambitious time to be working in housing!
- Working within a variety of disciplines:
Employers require people with a wide range of qualifications, such as MRICS, and Prince2, you will develop expertise and skills to support the variety of functions and disciplines within the organisation:
- Land & New Business – securing opportunities for development, i.e. land acquisition, joint venture agreements etc.
- Development – progressing new build residential projects from inception through to completion
- Regeneration – area based programmes that improve the housing stock, the built environment and other local amenities
There are plenty of different opportunities that will keep you busy, where you will be continually developing your skill-set, working alongside thought leaders and influencers.
- Involvement in a variety of rewarding and challenging projects:
Working in the housing sector is often challenging, but the rewards in terms of achievement are great. You may be involved in different aspects such as:
- Reducing homelessness figures
- Creating a community for residents and those associated with it
- Land availability for new build development
- Short term impact of demolishing homes for regeneration
Your ideas and input will be invaluable in helping to create a better future for all.
