#OPFundraising: The OP Bake Off raises Over £400 for Macmillan Cancer Research

The OP Team got on their baking hats, cooking bowls out and created savoury or sweet treats to bring in to ‘The OP Bake Off 2018’ all in aid of raising cash for Macmillan Cancer Research. It was amazing to see so many different types of cakes (we even had some OP branded ones!), cookies, pastries, tarts and caramelized onion sausage rolls even making an appearance in the OP Kitchen on Thursday morning, the table was covered in delicious treats for all.

It was clear that we at Oyster Partnership enjoy a treat or few, as the cash mounted into the donation box and plates were filled high by many. By mid-morning we had already made over £200.00, which was incredible. As they say, news travels fast and over lunchtime some of the other employees in the offices above ours had heard about the OP Bake Off and made an appearance to join in on the fun and bring some cash along too.

As the final pennies were counted at 5pm, we had raised just over £400.00! Our Bake Off Winner was General Practice Consultant Mairead, she was presented with a bottle of bubbles and voucher of choice; she had impressed so many with her rolo cookies.

Overall, it was a highly successful and enjoyable day, and knowing we had raised a substantial amount of cash to give to a charity, which truly is such a worthy cause meant we all left the office with a great sense of satisfaction!

Well done all.
