On Friday, 22 June, six of our Property Recruitment Specialists; Jamie, Mairead, Hannah, Jemimah, Harriet, and Ruth volunteered to take part in The Childhood Trust: Decorate a Child’s Life programme which is a unique intervention that transforms children’s sense of dignity and well being through renovating their bedrooms and other living spaces if required.
The project some of our Oyster team undertook involved renovating a young girl’s bedroom into a beautiful and calm space, to which they succeeded. They spent time painting the walls, building a bed stand, making up the bed in a new duvet and covers with pretty pillows, putting together new drawers, a makeup table and placing pictures and rugs around the room to make it as girlie and wonderful as possible. After a long day of hard graft, the room was revealed to the young girl, she was beaming with happiness and even said her cheeks hurt from smiling so much. What a reaction! Our team were utterly thrilled with how happy she was, and the whole Oyster Partnership business could not have been prouder to have taken part in giving back in such an amazing way.
At Oyster Partnership we are fortunate enough to be led by an MD, Sasza Bandiera who is truly passionate about giving back to the communities that we are immersed within and to make a difference. He has implemented across the business two charity days to be taken by each employee, per year, where each individual can choose a charity of their choice to help out at.
