Transport Planning Team Lead (Project Delivery)

We are working with a local authority situated in the South East in their search for a Project Delivery (Transport Planning) Team Leader with the skillset to be able to assist the Strategic Transport Planning Manager.

You'll be responsible for managing a team responsible to deliver the local authorities' low carbon and active travel agenda including supporting healthier travel environments and this is done by circling; Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, Bus Service Improvement Plan, Zero Emission Bus Regional Area, Future Transport Zone, Transforming Cities Fund, etc.

You will lead a diverse team, and work closely with key stakeholders, cabinet, and other parties to deliver against the transport strategy and wider corporate objectives. As the Project Delivery lead it will be at management to ensure the projected projects are delivered on time and to budget.

Additionally, your objective will be to: promote low-carbon travel by public transport, walking, and cycling and encourage forms of development that reduce reliance on car usage in line with the local authorities' objectives and aims.

• This role lands inside IR35, contracted for 6-12 months initially.
• Hybrid working, office presence 1-2x weekly.
