Traffic Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join a dynamic team within a Local Authority based in the South East. This is an initial 3-month contract with the opportunity for extension, focusing on supporting local safety schemes and major projects across the City.

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative solutions for a variety of local safety schemes, including but not limited to Bus Lanes, Road Widening, and Zebra Crossings.
• Collaborate with the team in designing traffic management schemes, including the processing and implementation of traffic regulation orders.
• Work closely with senior and principal engineers to develop designs from concept through to feasibility, implementation, and construction phases.
• Utilize your expertise in AutoCAD and/or Civils 3D to produce high-quality designs and technical drawings.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in traffic engineering and design, particularly in local safety schemes.
• Aware and compliant of LTN1/20, TSRGD etc
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civils 3D software.
