Your next role

It’s time for the next step.
You’ve earned it.

Inspections, Assessments, Approval in Principle... Sound awfully familiar?

Play your cards right, and you could capitalise on something that's rarely seen in the Public Sector nowadays. Read on to find out what...

My client's Highways Assets team is in need of some help. Help from someone, someone like you.

You; who are you?

Ideally, you're Chartered but we certainly won't be ostracising. More importantly than judging you on the letters that follow your name.

You are, however, an experienced Senior Structures Engineer who will bring expertise to support and lead structural projects across the region’s highways. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional to make a significant impact in public infrastructure, ensuring the safety and integrity of essential structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage bridge inspection and assessment programs.
  • Oversee and commission maintenance programs for highway structures.
  • Provide Technical Approval, setting standards for both maintenance and new builds to ensure project quality and compliance.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in managing and assessing structural projects, especially within a highways context.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, technical oversight, and project management within structural engineering.

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £50-55 per hour, potentially outside IR35.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with flexibility (commonly 2 days on-site, 3 days remote; up to 1:4 depending on project requirements).

This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to meaningful public sector work while enjoying flexible working arrangements.

If you're ready to take on a challenging interim role, apply now!
