S278 Engineer

We are working with a local authority situated on the South Coast in their search for an s278/38 Engineer with the skillset to be able to aid the Highways Adoptions team by conducting both s38 and mainly s278 agreements on behalf of a local authority.

A key element of this role is working with the authority to overlook the designs post the developer has their planning application assessed. Your input would enable to make the agreement so the council can make permanent changes to the highway network to enable the approval prior to it commencing.

The client would appreciate the right candidate to do the s278 inspections in addition to the technical design reviews for changing existing roads

The highway schemes will include work such as; a mix of rural and urban sites.

• This role lands inside IR35, contracted for 3 months initially, rolling.
• WFH hybridity is available, would be appreciated if to come into the offices 1/2 times per week.
• Circa £40/hr
