Rough Sleeper Coordinator

A local authority I am currently working with is currently looking for a Rough Sleeper Coordinator to join their team on a hybrid basis to oversee their Rough Sleeper team.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee outreach activities to identify and engage with rough sleepers in the community.
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local authorities, charities, and support agencies to ensure a holistic approach to addressing homelessness.
• Conduct assessments to understand individual needs and provide appropriate referrals to relevant services.
• Provide advice, guidance, and support to rough sleepers, assisting them in accessing housing, healthcare, and other essential services.
• Develop and implement tailored support plans for each rough sleeper, facilitating their journey towards sustained independence.
• Maintain accurate records and data management systems to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to identify and secure funding opportunities to sustain and expand the program.

Do you have?

• Previous experience working with rough sleepers or vulnerable individuals facing homelessness.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse individuals.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of local housing and support services available for rough sleepers.
• Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude towards those experiencing homelessness.
