Private Sector Housing Officer

We are currently seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer on a 6 month contract based in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HMO regulations and enforcement and will be responsible for ensuring that all properties within our jurisdiction are safe and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:
Conducting inspections of HMO properties and identifying any health and safety hazards
Ensuring that all HMO properties are licensed and compliant with regulations
Providing advice and guidance to landlords and tenants on HMO regulations
Investigating complaints and taking enforcement action where necessary
Maintaining accurate records and reports

Requirements:
Experience working in a similar role within the private sector housing sector
Fully qualified Environmental Health Officer
In-depth knowledge of HMO regulations and legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving license
