Your next role

It’s time for the next step.
You’ve earned it.

Inflation isn't slowing down any time soon, perhaps it's time for a more rewarding yet challen

A North-West based local authority is looking for you to join their Private Sector Housing team on an initial 6-month contract to start in April.

They are ideally after someone full-time but are open to a minimum of 3 days a week to job share with another Officer.

Subject to funding and workload levels, it is likely to be extended beyond this.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be out on the frontlines carrying out inspections for the Homes for Ukraine Project, as well as identifying any hazards according to HHSRS.

You’ll also get to visit some HMOs and investigate any complaints about unlicensed HMOs which could lead you to join forces with the Legal team if there needs to be any prosecution.

What’s in it for you?

  • Hybrid working – only required in the office a maximum of 3 days a week
  • £34-£40 per hour – equivalent to £63,000 - £72,000 a year
  • Flexible working – come in on whichever days are best for you, this authority is considerate to those who have personal/family commitments during the week.

With longer-term contracts such as this, we’ve seen them help Officers fast-track to Senior and Principal level roles much quicker than from permanent posts, so it's well worth it if you’re looking to move up.

If you think this is the right role for you, or for someone else you know, feel free to get in touch, you can call 020 7766 9000 or email michael.williams@oyster.partnership.com with any enquiries.

We would like to attract talent from all corners of the Environmental Health world for this role. Our commitment is to an equitable recruitment process so feel free to apply in any way that suits you, via Whatsapp, video message, CV, the more creative the better.”
