Private Sector Housing - Damp & Mould Surveyor

A council based in Kent are looking for someone to come into their Private Sector Housing team with a view to focus on Damp & Mould.

What's in it for you

• £30-£40p/h
  
• Hybrid working (3 days in office/on inspections)
• 37 hours per week
• 3/4 month contract (possible extension)

Expectations of your role

• To ensure that private sector homes are maintained in conditions that safeguards the health of occupiers, with a particular focusing on of damp and mould hazards.
• To evaluate housing conditions in the private sector and assist in the taking of enforcement action against owners, landlords, managers and other responsible persons to ensure homes are maintained in a satisfactory condition
• To undertake Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) inspections and determine the severity of hazards in the home environment.
• To assist in the preparation of case files for prosecutions and civil penalties.
