Principal Planning Officer

A Local Authority in Surrey is looking for a Principal Planning Officer to join the Development Management team as an interim on an initial 6 month rolling contract, working on a caseload of major applications. They need someone who is able to manage this type of caseload, whilst mentoring and assisting more junior members of staff.

This is a full time role but they are open to part time hours or a condensed week.

Experience:

·At least 3 years experience with LPA.

·Comfortable leading on major schemes ideally in a more rural setting.

·Access to own vehicle to undertake site visits when required.

Working arrangements:

· This role can be done predominantly remotely. However, the Manager would ideally like you to be able to come in circa 1 day per week.

Site visits expected once every week.

· The role is Inside IR35

The hourly rate ranges from £50p/h to £55p/h + depending on your experience.
