Litigation Solicitor

Permanent Regulatory Solicitor:

Starting salary £49,590 pa

Fully remote, however you will be required to attend court in person (roughly twice per month)

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting hearings on regulatory matters
• Undertake advocacy in criminal and civil courts, tribunals and inquiries on behalf of the Council
• Draft and prepare legal documentation in connection with claims and proceedings
• Prepare and advise on cases for court, tribunals, inquiries, arbitration or mediation proceedings

The successful candidate:

• Must hold a current practicing certificate
• Previous local authority regulatory experience in the legal area of crime
• Experience of conducting hearings including small trials in the Magistrates Court
• Previous experience advising senior officers and elected members
