A wealth of experience, but still waiting for the wealth?
Licensing Officer
£20-35/h
The Southwest
Unfortunately, for a lot of the Licensing industry, there is an expectation to have 5,10, or even 20 years of experience with very little reward.
If you're sitting at the top of a salary band waiting for a below-inflation pay rise, you won't be blamed for feeling underappreciated.
There is another way - contracting
Contracting offers flexibility in hours, working arrangements, and most importantly, salary.
Local Authorities need Licensing contractors to cover long-term absences, knowledge gaps within the team, and special projects that they don't have the time or resources to deliver.
The work is both interesting and financially rewarding.
