Experienced Interim Manager? - take a look at this role....
The council I am working with is based in Central England, easily accessible from all areas of the UK due to the rail connections. Perfectly situated between London and the Midlands.
The council is a small tight-knit, busy authority and looking for someone to step in and continue this work ethic. The council's policy is that you will only need to be in the office once a week with the rest working from home.
You will be there to support the Head of Procurement by developing, managing, and being responsible for the Procurement Service. You will need to have previously managed a team, with an understanding of conducting 121's and also being able to guide the team. The role will circle around the general day-to-day runnings of the procurement services, including end-to-end tender processes, you will be responsible for any complex or high-value tenders.
Not only that but you will be involved in the strategic planning of the council, how they can move forward what steps to put in place to streamline the service by making it more cost-effective.
The contract will be for 3 months to start while the council attempts and find someone on a permanent basis, there is a possibility that this will go on for longer.
We would like to attract talent from all corners of the world for this role. Our commitment is to an equitable recruitment process so feel free to apply in any way that suits you.
